Virtually Famous started on June 11, 2018.

It was just me, a chair I was renting solo, one cupboard, and a whole list of crazy dreams and plans. Within 10 months I expanded into a salon suite and hired my first apprentice… then a few months later the infamous 2020 hit. I had sold everything I had to invest into the salon suite and hiring and was terrified.

The landlord offered no support so I was forced to loose all I had worked for, pack up, and start over back to just me and a chair. 2021 wasn’t any easier and I relocated again trying to keep VF afloat, my 1 apprentice still employed, and all the while clinging to that list of dreams from 2018.

July 1 2022 all the hard work and tears (a lot of tears) paid off and I opened what is now VF Salon in Sherwood Park. A beautiful, spacious, store front location that was all mine head to toe.

Opening a salon at 24 was the scariest thing I have ever done. I made mistakes, I had victories, and then more mistakes and lessons.

Jesus has always been the center of my life, though rocky at times, I always knew there was something more for me in this amazing industry.

Through this amazing salon I am able to have genuine connections with the ladies in my chair, share the overflow, cry and laugh with women in need, and most of all share Jesus. We also support Adeara Recovery Centre which is a long-term addiction recovery for women located in Edmonton. Getting to use the resources for His Kingdom has truly been one of the most beautiful things I could have asked for out of this career.

4 years later and the salon has once again grown. With shifting our focus to creating a relaxing environment for guests to come with concerns and know that not only do we have multiple options, but that we will be honest about what is right for you, and not just pushing a sales pitch.

To have a team of passionate women who genuinely love this career has created such a beautiful environment to welcome anyone struggling with hair loss, wanting to add fullness, wants a buss down, wants a whole new funky color, a blended balayage you name it.
